Howdy all. I am working on a cosplay for the upcoming PAX east convention, and I am doing it for this Hatsune Miku costume! My problem however is that I am stuck on what to do for the feet-paws (circled in blue below). They seem simple enough but I don't really know how I'm going to do them. One idea I had is to maybe shape them out of foam like a fursuit foot, but I'm afraid it might get too complicated and time consuming. Another idea is to cover boots in fur or just wear black boots, but I think just boots would look weird and I cant really find anything that I think would work. I also don't want to be clomping around in boots all day. An Idea I just had while writing this that I'm liking is to find a pair of black slippers or paw slippers or something like that, because looking at her footwear closer that's kind of what those are. They look like felt slip-ons or something. Well at any rate that's about where I'm at with this. If any of yall do cosplay stuff or would be able to help with this, any and all help/guidance would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!

i don't do cosplay stuff, like, at all, but the first thing that came to mind was to just sharpen some pink fake nails and attach them to the front of some shoes. idk how well that'd work tho.

from what the picture shows, her shoes look like crocs or something, you could definetly get away with wearing crocs covering up the holes and hide the backside of the shoes with the pants and black socks, no fur needed, then you could use pink foam triangles and tack them on the front of the crocs.
Idunno how the underside of her shoes look like, but it'l probably not matter.

they dont really look like fur so i think u could honestly just get some black boots and put little pink triangles on the front to mimic the claws.
for making the claws you could use foam, either in a plain triangle or a more rounded triangle and you can use heat (hairdryer, hair straightener/curler, stovetop, etc) to curl it into a claw-like shape

you could make shoe covers with slip-ons/crocs/whatever's comfortable as the base here's a tutorial that i think would help. you could probably make the covers a bit looser with fabric stiff enough to keep its shape

Thank you so much for all the suggestions everyone! I didn't end up following any one in particular, but it did def help me think through it so ty . What I ended up going with is buying these black slipper boot things online and I'm going to use some pink felt and probably hot glue it on for the toes. I was afraid the shape might look a little weird, but now that I have them in person I'm liking it a lot more. (They are also wicked soft and comftorable) I cant wait to show the whole thing off when its done!
