i do art and writing, trying to get into codewriting and programming so i can make my own neocities and make the story i'm writing into a game. my posts have a 50/50 chance of being either a thoughtful reply or a shitpost. i'm also hoping to start streaming one of these days. when i get my act together and finish putting together all the resources i need for it. i work fulltime, so my muse is being suffocated at the moment but i'm doin my best :-)
LIKES:
- practical fx (especially animatronics and puppets)
- analog tech (VHS, CD/cassette, CRT TVs, etc)
- uncanny stuff (old CG, liminal spaces, etc)
- lost media
- clowns (fun and scary varieties)
- goblins, ghouls, gargoyles, gremlins, etc.
- owning physical media
DISLIKES:
- subscription services
- government
- cilantro
- brain poisons (tiktok, twitter, instagram. algorithmic feeds and whatnot)
i utterly despise what companies have done to the internet, turning it from a place to meet like-minded individuals with common interests to a privatized adspace designed to make you unhappy so they can sell you solutions and keep you glued to your screen. i long for personalized blogspaces and chronological user-curated feeds. i long for janky formatting and the authenticity of web 1.0. let's go back. come with me.
