finally got a crt tv!! its a coby cx-tv1 . its such a fun little guy BUT the crt part only displays a horizontal line and nothing else .. from what ive looked up it can be fixed but might require soldering which idk anything about . hopefully isnt too difficult bc i really wanna do some silly things with it :-)

thats epic! u probably know this already but just in case be extra careful repairing crts, the capacitor is really high voltage and can hold a high enough charge to cause death if u electrocute yourself. just make sure you figure out exactly what ur doin before makin any repairs

I really want an old crt. But they're so expensive, and I have nowhere to put it. One day, I too WILL make a post about my cool crt

oooooooooooooh thats cool. Ive been thinking about getting a crt to have as like a second monitor or something but I don't have anywhere to put it. I hope you can get some use out of yours!

I Can Reason With Her. real talk though yea when i was looking up the problem with mine i saw all that stuff abt discharging it . i have some guides saved and im gonna see if we have the stuff necessary for making one of the tools
